Meet Dominique and Jason. The happy couple were married on a picture-perfect fall day. The ceremony took place
at the St. Mary Star of the Sea church in New London follow by reception at the Branford House Mansion.
Originally a 31-room mansion that rivaled those found in Newport. In vision this “the couple and the guests dining in front of the two-story fireplace, with panel carved by Italian and German craftsmen”. The woodwork, stonework and details were amazing throughout the mansion.
The bride wore a stunning gown designed by Watters with embroidered lace flowers and beaded appliques. The colors of the bridesmaid dresses were velvet red which gave an amazing contrast on the pictures in the background of the gorgeous woodwork. The couple finished the night on the high note by dancing Argentine Tango and surprising all their guests. We definitely didn’t want to miss that shot!

Copper Beech Inn Wedding Ivoryton, CT

We were thrilled to photograph Joe and Vera’s wedding last Sunday at the Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton, CT. Though there was a threat of torrential downpours and gail force winds, the sun did shine through, and the day was stunning (that’s what you get when you pay your weather bills). These Trinity College sweethearts were a joy to photograph and the Copper Beech Inn was the perfect setting for their celebration. Joe and Vera’s unique invitation was designed by Heather and Nathan from Arak Konofsky Studios, Vera’s stunning flowers were designed by Allison Sloane from Ashleigh’s Garden and as always, Executive Chef Tyler Anderson prepared a delectable feast. And of course, Copper Beech Inn manager Michael Audette and his wife Fabienne made sure everything ran like a clock, perfect in every way.

The Inn at Mystic located on the hill, overlooking the water is an exceptionally beautiful place to have a wedding. It is a perfect New England setting to take many beautiful pictures; from classic pond filed with water lilies to English gardens to groves of trees.
Our happy couple Erin and Matt had a beautiful October day and everything was perfect from start to finish.

If you love Halloween and considering turning your Halloween into your wedding day here are some ideas to incorporate elegance into your special day. Vera Wang

designed a special dress for brides who love Halloween yet look classy and unique in her wedding gown.

Flowers: to highlight your Halloween wedding theme and fall season Orange Hawkweed, Day Lily’s, Tiger Lily’s, Orange/Yellow Freesia’s, Orange Roses, Orange Poppy’s are the best choices.

For centerpieces, think Black Magic roses, deep red calla lilies, black feathers, branchy accents, and tons of votives. If space allows, consider hanging antique chandeliers over the dance floor and throughout the room and attaching black feathers to the windows or doors.

Inn at Mystic, our local neighbor is an exceptionally beautiful place filled with many places to take beautiful pictures; from gardens, groves of trees to Inn at Mystic classic pond filed with water lilies. We had a great time photographing this lovely couple and meeting their friends & family on their special wedding day. Everything about this wedding was a perfect fit. Katelyn wore a beautiful gown that represented pure elegance and class.

A Blast from the Past: Your Personal Photobooth for your wedding

Here’s how it works: We set up a little photo studio in your reception space. You and your guests will feel like celebrities in front of our modeling lights and umbrellas. We have many backdrops to choose from, or you can bring your own. After pressing a big red button, you’ll pose for three consecutive pictures and then see them emerge from our super fast dye-sub printer just moments later. Each photo is 4”x4” in size, evoking the feel of a Polaroid, a love of ours from days (nearly) gone by. The photos are for your guests to keep (or, ask them to take two from each series and leave one for you)! You get a complete set on DVD after the wedding, and images are also uploaded to the Web for everyone to see.
Why we love it: Because everyone loves it! The photo booth often becomes the hit of the party. People come back over and over, and as the evening progresses, the pictures just get better and better. As one guest said recently, “The photo booth changed my life forever.” Drunk, maybe. Honest, we think so!

Wedding at The Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI- Jackie+Dan

We had a great time photographing this beautiful wedding at this breath taking location. For those who don’t know: OceanHouse

is situated right on the water in Watch Hill, Rhode Island which is already known for being a favorite beach getaway for locals and tourists alike. If you’ve never been to Watch Hill, the sight from the Ocean House’s back deck will overwhelm you. Imagine looking out over the ocean, with a complete panoramic view. Of course, the deck itself is incredible, transitioning easily from cocktail hour space to a starlit retreat from the dancing in the ballroom. Oh, right, did I mention the ballroom opens directly onto the deck?
The other great part about a wedding at the Ocean House, is that you get the best of both worlds. Not only do you get to dance in the ballroom, have an elegant sit-down dinner and relax on the cushy deck chair with a cocktail, everything is only a few steps away from the beach. For us, this means getting to capture a few special moments in a secluded spot along the dunes.
