From Harvard square and basketball games to St. Patrick’s Church and The Inn at Mystic in quaint Mystic, Connecticut, Erica and Mike’s day was filled with excitement and the luck of the Irish…or maybe it was fate.
When we arrived at Erica’s mother’s home on Mason’s Island, Erica was so excited, she was already dressed in her beautiful 2Be Bride dress, had her beautiful bouquet created by Thames River Greenery in New London and was ready to start her day.
Okay, it was pouring…without much of a break, but it didn’t phase her, which was great! (Actually the rain was really a treat for us, allowing us to tap into some of that indoor creativity, so much fun to pull out.
When we arrived at St. Patrick’s Church, in historic downtown Mystic , Patrick Whalen, from the Irish American club in Glastonbury was playing the bagpipes on the front steps. The ceremony was very moving and even elicited tears from the photographers.
From the weather forecast we didn’t think outdoor photos were going to happen. Rain or shine it didn’t matter. And with those thoughts, the clouds parted right after the ceremony, giving us lovely light for photographs outside the church and on the grounds at the Inn at Mystic. We think definitely fate.
